Strolling Main Street for Christmas

November 20, 2010

Jan Tanis of Rose Haven has a beautiful blog.  She has a holiday tradition of running a Stroll through the Shops for Christmas.  She asked me if I would like to be a part of it this year.  I am thrilled, as who wouldn't want to have one of these shops with large picture windows decorated for Christmas?

The painting above is the way our main street in Port Angeles looks this time of year with twinkling lights on the trees and each of the shops decorated and bright for holiday shopping.  No shopping mall... just free street parking and shopping at The Toggery for a new holiday outfit, Port Book and News for an interesting book on local history, Fiddleheads for that perfect gift for your girlfriend, or maybe a stop for a caramel latte at The Veela Cafe, or a piece of dark chocolate fudge from Northwest Fudge and Confections for energy.  Tomorrow you'll want to drive back and spend time in the many antique shops.

Go ahead.. click on the Stroll, close your eyes, listen to the holiday music, and then re-open eyes and scroll.  Happy Holidays.
