Magical Nature Inspired Pendants

Nature inspired necklace

Rainforest Talisman

(Damele Turquoise, Labradorite, Epidote in Basalt)

(personal collection)

There are a couple of pendants I made in the last year that really connected to my love of nature.  The first I'm sharing is a piece I could not part with:  Rainforest Talisman.  It reminded me of our years spent in Port Angeles, outside the Hoh Rainforest.  "The Hoh Rain Forest is located in the stretch of the Pacific Northwest rainforest which once spanned the Pacific coast from southeastern Alaska to the central coast of California. The Hoh is one of the finest remaining examples of temperate rainforest in the United States and is one of the park's most popular destinations." National Park Service

Artisan Pendant

I've written about the Olympic Peninsula a number of times and highly recommend a visit to the extraordinary Olympic National Park.  The rain forests within are magical.

The feather in this piece was done by Gary B Wilson (@rockhoundgaryb) and I had hung on to it for a number of years before finding the right inspiration.

The other nature inspired pendant I spent hours of love on is Tryamon.

Silver and Stone necklace

Tryamon

(Amethyst Sage Agate, lampwork flower by Kim Snider, cast sterling silver branch)

I'd had this combo minus the branch in my to-do tin for awhile as I loved the way the bronzy gold in the lampwork picked up the colors of the stone.  The agate was also done by the talented Gary B Wilson.  I was seeing an Art Nouveau style of piece with the shapes, but also was thinking of fairies in the woods and decided to name this one after the Arthurian legend, fairy princess of the woods, Tryamon.

The colors in this piece would've enabled Tryamon to blend with the forest and be a sparkle in the side of one's eye.
