Snow Falling on Cedar

I love all kinds of stones for their color, but give me one with imagery and my imagination is stoked to create.  Ocean jasper is one of those gemstones that never fails to help the process.

One of my favorite books is Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson.  I love a good mystery, but this one also transports one to its locale on a remote island in the Puget Sound off the Washington coast.  When I saw this pair of ocean jasper cabochons I was there once again even though I'd read it many years ago.

Life Between the Lines

SOLD

I designed the pair above last summer while being safe at home.  I was going to say stuck, but actually there weren't many times that I felt that way.  The pandemic forced us to live in the moment and I think many of us found that it was where we should've put our focus all along.  The life we live between the work and chores with our family is what we'll remember as being most precious.

Snowball Chance

SOLD

There was not a snowball chance in hell that I was going to put my family or friends or strangers at risk during the pandemic.  This pair practically designed themselves!

Knot So Much

Doesn't this pair look like a slice of wood?!

Coral and Ocean jasper earrings

R E S P E C T

SOLD

White roses are often used in bridal bouquets.  Traditionally they mean purity, innocence, and young love.  I am particularly taken though with the meaning of respect.

Signs of Life

"We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark;

the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light."  Plato
