Anyone that knows me knows I love viewing and being in nature.  Wildlife and our open spaces and forests inspire my work and keep me connected to my self.  I feel closest to understanding life and my spirit when walking a path with no mechanical sound; only birds singing accompanied by rustles in the undergrowth or gazing out at the ocean as its energy and rhythm calm me.

This has led me most recently to reading papers and essays on Pantheism.  It's the view that the Universe (Nature) and God are identical.  At first blush this makes sense to my logical brain as well as my spiritual brain.  I am part of the universe and my relationship with it is mine alone and not one that others can define or tell me how it should be.Our life is a journey in which we can choose to take the worn path which many others follow or we can choose to take our own.  I'm sure there will be many more directions I will take myself to explore.  At least I hope so, as it's the excitement of the new that helps me grow and inspires something yet unknown.

The Road Not Taken

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.
