Get it Together Thursday - Got Game?

Game Room gift ideas collage

For the first time in our home we've got an official game room.  It's got a used pool table, old kitchen table for playing cards or putting together a jigsaw puzzle, dart board, and some comfy chairs for lounging between turns. Being a girl I want to decorate it!  We were downtown not too long ago and I saw this made to look old sign of the area as an all season resort.  I thought it would be perfect, but when I pointed it out to my husband he said he didn't want anything on the walls or decorating done.  : (

So for now, I have to satisfy that urge to feather the game room with some ideas off Etsy.

I think he'd agree we need a bottle opener, but would he go for the pretty blue distressed one?

We are fortunate to have friends and family visit us from all over the U.S. Wouldn't the Game Room sign made from license plates be a way of showing how much we appreciate them?

Indeed our game room has become a Gathering Place. I love the look of vintage games and frankly some of them are way more fun than video games.  Like this Carron one with all the accessories.  Or this Frenzy game that sounds like a blast!  Sorry was always one of my favorite games growing up so I know I'd love it.  Cribbage is a game my husband and I play on vacation, but why not settle in on a windy thunderstorm night?

Everybody could use some luck and I love these rusty old horseshoes to bring it to anyone who comes in and rubs their rust. The chalk holder cracked me up - you'll enjoy the description as well I think. **********************************************************************************
