Here is this week's prompt from Sally, the Studio Sublime:

“In life, as in art, the beautiful moves in curves.”  ~Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton

We move, live and love in curves. Arms, legs and bodies curve to propel us into the life around us. Branches of trees curve to embrace the breeze.  Letters curve and form words.  Curves can keep things apart, hold things together or create a path.  This week take a moment to focus on all the different kinds of curves that surround you everyday.

So many curves and so the dilemma of what to focus on this week.  I'm currently trying to reduce my curves so they were on my mind a lot this week.  No one wants to see a photo of that!   Although I do wonder what Peter Paul Ruben would think of our models and ideal body today.  He painted what was considered beautiful in his day.  We know that was tied to wealth and the ability to eat what one wanted, but perhaps not what one needed. Since I desire to live a very long life I have to take care of this body of mine.  I know just wishing it to be so or even putting out the intention is not enough.  It's work, especially at my age, but it's got to be done.  However I have learned that enjoying a want now and then is needed to stay on course.  Which in a roundabout way brings me to my favorite curve of all: the rainbow!

"Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold.  But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow."  Douglas Pagels

Curves in the road was another top contender for me, as it speaks to one of my motivators:   wanderlust.  I'm kind of hoping that one of our other participants took one of those!  Let's go see:  the Studio Sublime blog host.
