Worktable Wednesday: Crocheting

Crocheted Seed Bead Rop
This week I've been on a crocheting kick.

It has been awhile since I've done a crocheted bead rope.  I thought it would go great with a tiger eye bead I have for a special someone.  The size 15 seed beads look like cool labradorite and all the other bronze and red are warm.

It took me a few starts to get the tension right for these tiny beads, but it's worth the effort.  From afar it's going to look like metal or something folks are going to want to go in for a closer look.

I'd started a different afghan awhile back, but I just wasn't loving it so found I was avoiding it.  This week I selected a different pattern but am using the same bamboo/wool yarn.  It will be a flower garden of color, but I have to make six of this particular color set.  I like crocheting this one so much better.  I'm not sure why, except maybe I don't have to change color every row!  They also are larger so I won't have to make as many.  I guess I am being lazy.My finished hook rug should be coming back from the finisher this week or early next.  I'm so excited to see it.  More about that when it arrives!

So what have you been working on?
