I created this treasury as part of the current SFEtsy Treasury Team challenge which asks us to create a treasury that helps others to get to know you a little better.

My paternal Grandmother made the best molasses cookies in the world.  We grandkids were all addicted to them.

So much so that my Grandmother would bake them, store them in tins and hide them throughout her kitchen in hopes the supply would last long enough for the adults to enjoy them, too.  We were not above pulling out the step stool and searching upper cabinets to attempt to quietly lift the lid and grab a cookie or tow when no one was looking. She was a stoic German and never let on, but I'm guessing she'd chuckle when pulling a can down and finding the stack much lower than when she packed it.  I miss those days so much.  I have her recipe and we've all attempted it numerous times, but it never came out quite right.  My Aunt shared a secret with me last summer and I need to give it a try.  Why haven't I?  Maybe a part of me wants to leave that memory pristine.
