Pedestrians Only on Dunavska Street, Novi Sad
Liberty Square at one end of Dunavska St
Hope that knight isn't afraid of heights!
The intricate carvings and fretwork at the top caught my eye.
A color I am drawn to again and again.
Name of Mary Church on Liberty Square (Catholic)
Why don't more U.S. towns have a pedestrian only area?
A local street that comes to mind is the lovely Santana Row in San Jose. It's a relatively new area and could've been designed with the main street being all pedestrian since deliveries can be made in the delivery only area behind the retail row. It would be perfect that way. Instead you have to find the crosswalks and dodge traffic while shopping and smell car exhaust if you attempt to eat outside in this European inspired downtown. It was an opportunity missed I think.
Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz would also make a wonderful pedestrian only street. If not feasible during the day due to deliveries, how about starting at 5pm?
