One of a kind nature inspired necklace celebrating the unique Tamarack tree.

A ceramic pendant featuring an icy branch created by Shaterra was the inspiration for this one of a kind nature inspired necklace. I found this very cool gold plated chain that echoed the Tamarack's golden needles and interspersed it with these warm and earthy bronzite stones that have glints of gold - sort of like tiger eye, but without the banding.

I repurposed a vintage necklace that had autumn toned beads and golden leaves for the back of the necklace so it would be nice and comfortable.

This necklace is 24 inches in length and closes with a lobster clasp.

I created some earrings for this necklace that I really love. You can see them here.

A native to Canada, the Tamarack Larch tree looks like a regular evergreen, but it's deciduous. The northern parts of the United States have stands of it including northern Idaho. In the fall a landscape that had been dominated by tall green evergreens and tamaracks is bright with Tamarack's golden glow. Their needles turn golden and then fall by winter.
