Talisman Necklace for Quilters

Only 1 left in stock

This unique quilter's artisan necklace was featured on the cover of Bead Chat Magazine !

This one of a kind sewing talisman necklace came out of a blog hop challenge hosted by a friend of mine, One Kiss Creations. She'd gone antique shopping and bought a bunch of these wooden spools that were used for thread before the plastic. She didn't know what she was going to do with them until she had this idea to do a blog hop with some friends and just see what different jewelry pieces we came up with.

This one of a kind necklace is the result of my ponderings. Read more about its creation here on my blog post.

Beautiful floral lampwork was done over a metal sewing bobbin by Wee Gems.

I wrapped wool wrapped copper wire around the spool.

A gorgeous detailed Bali sterling silver rose bud acts as a stopper on the end of the intricate silver colored chain.

Vintage Mother of Pearl buttons with anodized aluminum rings lead up to a sterling silver hook (like a hook and eye!) I created to make it totally adjustable. It can even be slipped over your head.

A very special gift for the quilter or sewer in your life.
