Grape Motif earrings

Grape Motif earrings
Out of Stock

Whether you're a wine drinker or a Grape Crush fan you'll love this fun pair of earrings.  I was a huge Grape Nehi fan as a kid.  I have fond memories of pulling that Nehi bottle from the machine at my Uncle and Aunt's golf course in New York or pulling one out of an ice chest at our local general store in Virginia.

The buttons are from the Victorian era and were handmade in molds from black glass.  Due to their handmade nature they are of varying thicknesses which provided a challenge in setting.  I love how they turned out.  Although I have quite a few buttons stored in jars I love when I find a jewelry piece to include them in so they're seen in public once again.  Black glass buttons were very popular during the Victorian era due to Queen Victoria's mourning of her Prince Albert.  Black became very much in vogue.

Ingredients:

* Antique black glass buttons with design in intaglio

* ceramic drops by Petra Carpreau

* sterling silver

* Niobium earwires (hypoallergenic)

This pair dangles 2.25 inches from the top of the earwire to the bottom of the drops.
