I love to learn.  I love art in many forms.  One area that I'd really like to improve is drawing and painting.  Periodically I've put my toe in, but this time I'm putting my whole foot, maybe both of my hands (!) in, too.

I've signed up for Jane LaFazio's Sketching and Watercolor:  Journal Style.  Two years ago I took a one day class with her and loved it.  I only drew and painted two things, but I loved my bird so much I framed it for my studio wall.

With my jewelry and other interests in fiber I've unfortunately not taken advantage of what I started there.

So over the next few weeks I will share with you the result of one of her weekly lessons.  My hope is that I will look back over those weeks and see a progression of competence.  I have a lot to learn and it's not easy for me to show you stuff that's not where I want it to be.  We all start somewhere though.  I know I'll have fun, but will I get better?  Let's see, shall we?

My other hope is that those of you out there that say you don't have a creative or artistic bone in you take a class in whatever medium intrigues you.  At the very least you'll have fun.  But it may open your eyes to seeing that you just weren't using the right bone.
