Just a quick post to let my 1000Market customers know that another online marketplace, Bonanza (formerly Bonanzle), has purchased 1000Markets. I am unfamilar with Bonanza, but I am assured the transition will be easy to accomplish on my side and my new shop on Bonanza will be open by the end of the month.

Those of us selling our handmade work online have to do our own marketing. In a sea of worldwide competition it often seems like I'm barely treading water. Getting noticed often means a lot of networking and in some cases advertising. None of that is really what we artists and crafters want to do. We want to just have time to dream and create.

Last Saturday I participated in the Opulent Art Show held in sunny Sequim, WA. Sequim is better known as the lavender capital of the world, but for those that don't live in the greater northern Olympic Peninsula area: we're also a hot bed of creativity. Amazing artists of all ilks live and create here. How can one not be inspired with all the natural beauty that surrounds us, from the sea to the snow-capped mountains?

Sonoma Valley and its wineries are one of my favorite places to visit, especially in the Fall. The day time temperatures are much more comfortable than they were in the summer and the vineyards are turning to crimson and gold. Inspiration is everywhere!
