I kind of went a little crazy at Maku Studio's booth at the Bead and Button show in Milwaukee this year. So instead of hoarding my treasures I'm doing my best to use them to create unusual and beautiful jewelry for you!
This tunic length pendant features one of Maku's edgy ceramic hearts. You can see from the photos how colorful the raku glaze came out. I don't know why I think the nails are cute, but aren't they?! We've all had a few driven into our hearts, but the message is that we are still beautiful and hold our hearts open despite the scars.
I've also added one of my antique steel-cut buckles that I've converted into a finding perfect for this Gothic feel piece.
I got very lucky with the patina this time and was able to get a gorgeous rainbow patina on the lengthy sterling silver chain.
26 inches in length.
Pendant is about 4 1/8 inches from the top of the buckle to the bottom of the heart.
